TOP TIPS

If you want to gain yardage from the tee with your driver, these following tips will all help to achieve this goal.

Tee the golf ball up high, at least half of the golf ball should be above the driver head to encourage more of a sweeping action through impact.

Keep your swing arc nice and wide. A good way to achieve this is to feel as though your hands are as far away from your body as you can get them through the backswing.

Make a full shoulder turn. Try and rotate your shoulders to around 90 degrees in order to build up some resistance. From this position you can deploy more power into the impact position.

WINTER GOLF

Its that time of the year again when the temperature drops and the nights draw in. Club competitions become non-qualifying, and there seems less of an incentive to get out onto the golf course. This time of year however can be the most beneficial to your game. With less pressure on carding good scores, it gives the perfect opportunity to make the necessary swing changes to take your game to the next level.

Over the winter months we can work together on lesson and practice plans in order to make your practice more productive. During the course sessions we can make the necessary changes to your swing and fine tune them well in time for the new season in 2014.

If you wish to discuss your winter lessons in more detail please don't hesitate to contact me.
